[ You wake to a comfortable silence, warmth and softness surrounding you. The room is dim, but a little light comes into the room. Should you check, the room has an ornate clock that tells you it is still early-- only a few minutes after seven in the morning. Although it should be no difficult task to assess that this room is unfamiliar to you in every way; your last memories will be a bit herder to focus in on. But the haze will gradually lift and you will be left with a few simple facts.
This bed-- this room is not your own. Nor is it the last place you were.
You are not alone. There are at least two other people sleeping in beds like yours in this room.
Now that you are awake it is time to explore. As you do you will realize just how many others there are in this building. Meet with them and you will probably soon realize none of them know any more than you do. Still-- considering the situation it may benefit you greatly to work together.
It is likely that you will see portraits of some familiarity positioned throughout the building as well as some confusing writing posted in each of your rooms as well as just outside of the Ballroom.
Looking around you will notice that you have practically full reign of the house-- with one exception. It would appear that right now the office is locked. ]

WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE!? DID YOU SQUIDNAP ME!? CRAZY FANS-!!
[She doesn't even give them a chance to respond as she dodge rolls off the bed and bolts from the room. She'll run down the hall causing a scene, opening and slamming doors while yelling.]
MARINA!! Marina where are you!?
no subject
A marina is a very small dock designed for pleasure boats. Unfortunately, we are not in the presence of water nor does this place feature a horde of hearty seamen willing to repair boats for a reasonable fee.

Whoa there, squiddo. Calm down. You keep slamming doors like this and people are definitely gonna be upset with you.

Princess Suite, what up
For a second, when he wakes, he fully expects shackles. Perhaps the eyes of the enemy. But the bed is too comfortable, and this place, while warm, is not the same kind of warm the Devil's soldiers tend to gather around, not at all. So he sits up, wings stretching. A few feathers feel a little stiff, but he's otherwise fine, it would seem.
Which immediately makes him realize: this is probably not an average kidnapping attempt. He'd be bruised to hell and back if it was, and this is too nice a room for that. It looks like ice cream was tossed on the walls or something. So pink, jesus. ]
... All right, then. Well, as fun as this is, I have better stuff to be doing, so...
[ He stands up. Stretches. ]
Where's the door out?
[ After that, he makes for the halls. Where you're free to run into him, he seems to be running a hand along the walls slowly just... meandering about. ]
no subject
[ Hiling has been staring at him for a while now. Those wings. Weird. He doesn't seem to know anything, but she'll talk to him anyway. They may have been put in the same room for a reason and she's going to find out what that is. ]

[ When Haruka Stone awakens, it's to a bed that isn't hers an an unfamiliar ceiling. She groans, then gets up. Huh. Where's her coat? ...Wait, not her room, so it's not on the coatrack near the entrance to the apartment above the shop. She'll look around at her roommates and then drag a hand down her face. ]
...I'm guessing none of you actually live here?
[ II. Exploration Time! ]
[ After getting to know a little bit about her roommates, she'll head off and explore. She first makes note of the supplies down the hall in the infirmary. It looks like they're stocked or awhile. Then, she makes note of the entertainment room with a roll of her eyes, checking over all of the games therein and then checking the kitchen next to it. Huh. Fully stocked. When there's nothing else but bedrooms and a laundry room up here, she'll go explore downstairs and that's when she finds the rules outside the ballroom. She'd missed them in them in their room, somehow, too eager to explore. ]
...Wait, what!? Survive!?

He can be found in front of the portraits, with a large stack of paper. There, he seems to be...calmly sketching replicas of the portraits onto each sheet of paper. Once he is done with a sketch, he places it next to him and works on the next one. “How very curious” is what one would say if they were curious about this, but it’s likely you have other things to worry about.]

[ It's so warm and so comfortable wrapped up in all these layers of softness that it takes Hinako a while to talk herself into waking up. She's about to drift off again when a very sharp little voice in the back of her head pipes up and reminds her that she'd gone to sleep without blankets last night because it was so hot. So why was she suddenly curled up under a duvet?
That realization of wrongness is what makes Hinako sit up with a jolt. This isn't her room -- this isn't her house, this doesn't even look like Japan. With her heart fluttering in a panic, she tosses the covers back, jumps to her feet... and then winces, teeth gritted when her knee flares up in protest. She's forced to sit back down heavily on the bed and slow her roll just a little. ]
Just... what is all this? How did I...?
around the mansion.
[ Alright. This is fine. Hinako's fine! Sure, there's a big portrait of her on the wall, with some creepy invasive details and even creepier 'rules' but. She's sure it's fine. Because the last time she woke up in an unfamiliar place, frightened and out of her depth there were two particular girls behind it. ]
Yuzu! Lime! If you've got anything to do with this, you'd better get out here right now!
[ HINAKO MAD. But she's also nervous, as is evident by the way she keeps fidgeting, clasping her hands together and rubbing her thumb over her fingers like she's expecting there to be something there, something that's missing. ]

Um... this situation doesn't look very good... does it?
[She might have lived a long time under her father and uncle's protection but she's no fool, regardless of what she might look like.
After she speaks to the others in the room a bit, she ventures out of the room. The first she steps into is the piano room. It's even nicer than the one at her school. She's not as good as someone like Elliot or Leo, but-- it has a nice, soothing sound. After a short while she continues looking and finds the cinema and blinks.]
This... looks like a theater. This place really doesn't feel like a normal home at all.
[Nobility even on her family's level didn't have places like this back home. Well... the house she had been given for her "hobbies" was elaborate in it's own way but--]

[ A kidnapping isn't exactly new to Conan Edogawa, so those who are in the room with him will notice that this boy - as young as he looks seems to be rather calm in terms of the situation. But the fact that he's not alone is both a good and bad sign.
It's good that he isn't alone, but it's not good because, well, it means that there's the potential of not being the only one kidnapped, here.
Although there's a few strange points, one of them being the fact that he's not tied up in any shape or form, meaning that he's allowed to roam around. So when he sees someone, he asks, in that usual chipper and childish tone of his: ]
You don't happen to know anything about what happened or where we are, do you?
PROFILES
[ Later on, however, Conan notices the one thing that will bother him for the rest of his stay here, and that's his very own profile, something that makes him turn several sheets of pale, his feet rooted into place. ]
This can't be right... how...?
[ This is fine. He's fine. It's fine. This is all good. ]
profiles, im... im so sorry
Yeah... it can't be right at all. They really failed to capture everyone's good side, don't you think?
[ ... He is taking this far too lackadaisically. ]
Iced coffee, though... mmm, that's not a bad compromise. I mean, at least it's cold. ... The rest of that is total gibberish to me, to be honest. See something ya didn't like, huh?

[He passed out. He is sure of this, because the last thing he remembers was Akamatsu-san egging him and the rest of the class to retry the Death Road of Despair. It was their way out, so said Monokuma, and she was determined to lead everyone to an escape...]
[And what an escape it was. Here he is, in an unfamiliar room with unfamiliar people. This couldn't be more of the same, could it?]
How peculiar...
[He's being eerily calm about this situation.]
Confusing Writing
So my suspicions were proven correct.
[He crosses his arms as he studies the rules posted outside the ballroom. A communal existence with no set release, certain rooms have a cerfew, violence against host and property shall be punished... This is beginning to sound a lot like the Killing Game everyone was trying to escape.]
[He does notice the board lacks some rules that Momokuma had. Perhaps he could write an essay comparing that mess to this one.]
I wonder how this will turn out... What beauty shall befall us here...?
confusing writing
[The writing seemed suspicious to say the least but she had no idea just what they were trying to get at with all these rules. Perhaps she was overthinking it but it made her a little uneasy when she read it. It was only natural captors might have some expectations of the people they're keeping, but still...]

Invitation to the Dance
The curtains around the ballroom fall, blacking out the sun and casting everyone into darkness amidst the musical frenzy. The guests may panic or remain calm, whatever their prerogative. A spotlight casts down onto the dance floor now, and two people dance a waltz beneath it. This time, when the music reaches its end it doesn't begin again, and the couple bows to each other before the man turns to the crowd. ]
Welcome, welcome, all of our dear guests! It is an absolute pleasure to finally meet all of you! I am the master of the house, Van, and this is my lovely wife, Memori. We will be your hosts during your stay in our home.
[ The masked man seems to be quite pleased to see all of them, and if not for how eerie this entire set-up was it would probably seem like an actually pleasant introduction. But he rubs his hands together, continuing on as the lights go up just a bit--enough that everyone can see, although the spotlight remains on the duo. ]
First of all, as I'm sure many of you know, there are rules. We are here to not only introduce ourselves, but to address an incomplete rule. That is, the seventh, which states in its full: "For a certain amount of time only your hosts may know, you are asked to survive. However, there is a catch. We will place temptations before you. To obtain these temptations, one must commit the act of murder and, in a trial of their peers, get away with it.
"To facilitate this, when a murder has been committed there will be an investigation by the guests present. After a short time, they will then proceed to the ballroom to discuss the evidence and try to find the culprit. Whomever is convicted will then be executed--guilty or innocent--and the guests may return to their daily lives afterward. There is no punishment for choosing wrong."
[ The entire time he has been addressing this, Van, has been pacing back and forth matter-of-factly. A spotlight splits from his wife and follows him. But when he is done explaining the rule, he will turn back to the guests with the most calm and pleasant smile on his face. As if they had simply discussed normal, everyday business. ]
Furthermore, Memori and I both have specific duties. You may seek us out in our office if you wish to speak in private, too. I will be handling the votes and the punishments when someone breaks the rules. Memori will be the one handling temptations and gifts. Together, we will handle executions and the general running of the household. Any questions?
no subject
That was wonderful.
[Addressing their guests then--]
It is exactly as he says. My name is Memori-- likewise, it is a pleasure to meet you all properly.
[The masked woman holds her dress and curtsies politely.]
Should you need anything, please do not hesitate to seek me out. I will do what I am able to make your stay here fruitful and pleasant.

[Eliza blinks awake slowly...then as she reaches a hand out, suddenly realizes that her dresser is not where it should be. She opens her eyes and sits bolt upright, staring around at this place. This is not her beautiful house. This is not her beautiful bed. So she does what anyone else in the same situation would do.]

[ Waking up in an odd place is really of no surprise to Akira, so when he opens his eyes and finds himself not in a familiar little attic at Leblanc? He's remarkably calm about it, sitting up and looking around quietly for a moment or two as he mused what possibly could be going on.
Those nearby in the room with him may catch a particularly odd snippet.. ]
This doesn't feel like it's a Palace...

Other places he can be found is checking out the kitchen and murmuring to himself quietly, then sometime later standing before the profiles and just staring at his own as if it had actually done something wrong, before sighing and shaking his head. ]
