[ You wake to a comfortable silence, warmth and softness surrounding you. The room is dim, but a little light comes into the room. Should you check, the room has an ornate clock that tells you it is still early-- only a few minutes after seven in the morning. Although it should be no difficult task to assess that this room is unfamiliar to you in every way; your last memories will be a bit herder to focus in on. But the haze will gradually lift and you will be left with a few simple facts.

This bed-- this room is not your own. Nor is it the last place you were.

You are not alone. There are at least two other people sleeping in beds like yours in this room.

Now that you are awake it is time to explore. As you do you will realize just how many others there are in this building. Meet with them and you will probably soon realize none of them know any more than you do. Still-- considering the situation it may benefit you greatly to work together.

It is likely that you will see portraits of some familiarity positioned throughout the building as well as some confusing writing posted in each of your rooms as well as just outside of the Ballroom.

Looking around you will notice that you have practically full reign of the house-- with one exception. It would appear that right now the office is locked. ]

[He pulls out a tape measure and begins to measure the various dimensions of her head.]

I feel like I'll go mad if I don't have something to anchor me. Would you like a mask?

[ She blinks for a moment before she realizes what he's doing. A gift then. She likes those. And she'd like to watch anyway so if it makes him feel better then it works out for the both of them. ]

Sure why not. You're going to make one for me?

[He writes down the numbers as he takes them, then frowns.]

Any allergies?

Oh. I've never seen someone make something like that before. And no, I don't have any. Of course not.

[ She's not difficult to impress. Anything creative would go over her head. She leans against the table while she waits. ]

Some people are allergic to latex or sensitive to leather. Do you like flowers?

I like looking at pictures. It's the closest we can get on a space station.

Alright. You don't see many plants at all, then...?

[He continues to measure certain angles, but he's got an idea now.]

Only on visits to Earth. You must see a lot if you live there.

[ She would assume most people here do. ]

Not as many as you'd think, I live in a large city. Only in gardens or green spaces, really.

Oh how exciting. Do you get a lot of business there?

I don't. My shop's way in the back of an alley, I get some business but not much.

But that's so out of the way! Who's going to think to look in a shady place like that?

My regulars know me well enough.

Hm. Are you done with your measurements?

Just about.

[He takes one last measurement, around her head behind her ears, and then jots it down.]

There, done.
