Mock Week
[ After the day before, with the reveal of the full extent of the rules and how the game works along with their hosts, the only thing everyone could do was have a meeting with alcohol and go to bed. And when awakened, everything is the same. It's still the large mansion, they're still locked inside, and there's still the idea that they have the choice to murder each other hanging over them. But now the mansion is free to explore to their hearts' content, save for the room under the stairs outside the mud room. All anyone can really do is just enjoy their week and hope for the best. ]

[Hoo boy.]
You mean you're some sort of creation? That puts you further from humanity than I thought.
no subject
[ That's... probably it. ]

[Angels are fascinating creatures, huh.]
As in, we humans are able to create life ourselves. Is that not the case with your kind?

[ He jabs a hand at Uta. ]

... That sounds incredibly sad.

I don't really think so. Our Lord creates everything; there's no need for us to do so. That would just... be blasphemous. You don't do that sort of thing. Only God creates life.

[He's making mental notes.]
And why, pray tell, would he also make humanity and leave us to fend for ourselves? What benefits would you have as an angel?
no subject
[ Small correction. ]
Magic, mostly. What each of us can do varies on the purpose we serve, though. I can't pretend to even ask why YOUR God might do something that strange. But as far as I know? Every World's similar. There's a God. There's a Devil. They're not all alike, but they have a court, and the Devils have demons.

[Prepare to have your mind blown, Sherbet.]
There are actually many different forms of religion. One religion might have a personified god, one religion might have many gods ruling over different aspects of life, and one religion might refuse to give God a proper form. Afterlives come in many different forms, as does the mythology behind those religions.
If you don't believe me, perhaps there might be some religious texts in the library for your perusal.

[ He! Doesn't believe you! ]
Also, there isn't any afterlife as far as I'M aware. I mean... I think.

[Tsk tsk. And angels were supposed to be good things who didn't argue with you.]
Then what will happen to you when you die?
no subject
[ It's... it's complicated. He's never... bothered to ask why they're fighting now and how the Devil and Wodahs are brothers but he is very certain asking would piss both of his higher-ups off, so. ]
When I die, I'd just... you know. Be dead? And then my Lord would make someone to replace me.
[ He sounds bizarrely at peace with it. ]
no subject
[He tilts his head.]
No, perhaps you don't. You were taught only what you were meant to do in life and never question why. Why is the Devil's brother leading the angels to war against Hell? Is there a rivalry in the background, or a conspiracy of sorts? And do you ever think there must be more to life than the war you're in?
[From the airy, taunting tone of his voice, he might as well be smiling under that mask.]
A society that cannot even form new ideas and change... Your God's world is a rather pitiful one indeed.

[ UGH he hates saying his name--he visibly winces a little when he says it. Kind of like someone saying Voldemort. Anyway. ]
But you don't ask that kind of stuff. That's the kind of thing that gets you accused of treason. Or at the very least, it really, really pisses your superiors off.
no subject
[Food for thought.]
Ah, but that's how they keep you in the dark. That's how they control you and avoid rebellion.
no subject
[ And Wodahs is "Shadow" backwards. Suuuuurprise. ]
I suppose that it's probably true those rules might be in place for a reason. There's sort of a don't ask, don't tell policy. It's need to know information, and I don't need to know.

So says the Authoritarian military of Heaven.
[If that is what Heaven's like, Kiyo would rather go haunt something instead.]
There's a silver lining in this situation. You are far from your superiors, free to philosophize and ask questions. If you survive, you need not share what you learned... In public, anyway.
no subject
[ He glances away. ]
I have a feeling I'm already dead, anyway.
no subject
[Interest!]
And why is that?
no subject
... I shouldn't have this. I'd be pretty much angel flambé if I tried taking this thing from its owner. To actually have this... coupled with what I remembered, and the scars I have that are new, most of them burn scars?
[ Yeah. Pretty sure him him dead boy. ]
Not that I mind.
no subject
[Oh...?] That's unfortunate...
no subject
[ Eyyyyyyyyyyy. ]
